I’m a language professional offering my services in Freiburg, Basel, Offenburg and beyond. My goal: to make you and your message stand out.
I put special emphasis on further training and professional development, holding an MA (Hons) in European Studies as well as an MA in Conference Interpreting. Also, I’m a certified teacher of English and German as foreign languages. My work is grounded on knowledge and quality – that’s what you can rely on.
Three services united in one specialist: I bring three essential language solutions to your company. No matter if you need a translator of written and spoken language or if you’re searching for a cutting-edge English and German language teacher – I’m the provider you’re looking for.
As a member of the German Association of Conference Interpreters (VKD), I’m committed to providing professional, high-standard language services. The same is true for my partners in the business. I have contacts to many other professional linguists as well as providers of conference technology. If you need additional services, I’ll find the right partners for your project.
I’m a language professional by trade. I would even call myself a mediator. Even if that might sound odd or unfamiliar, it’s as precise a description of my daily work as I can find. As an interpreter, translator or language teacher you don’t just throw around more or less foreign words all day long. I would rather say I mediate: between different languages and cultures, ideas and concepts, between diverging interests and goals, and not least between brain-wrecking grammar and confused language learners. I’m a professional mediator, and as such I offer language-related services that yield concrete results.
My life has revolved around languages and cultural exchange for the best part of the last decade. Born and raised in a quiet town located in the West German region of Westphalia, I decided to move to Scotland for four years in order to study. At the University of Aberdeen, I completed an MA (Hons) in European Studies, focused mainly on social sciences, French and Spanish. What I’ve taken away above all from my stay on the British Isles is a deep interest in the Anglo-Saxon world, a lot of cultural expertise and– a new first language. To all intents and purposes, English has become my second skin. Besides, I used the time in Scotland to discover and expand my teaching skills. I qualified as a teacher of English as a foreign language and taught with a London-based English language school. By now, I’m also a qualified German teacher, thoroughly enjoying getting in touch with learners from all over the world.
After my graduation in Scotland I decided to return to Germany in order to study an MA in Conference Interpreting at Cologne University of Applied Sciences (now called TH Köln). In the process, I’ve become a specialist language mediator. Today, you can benefit from my German, English, French and Spanish language proficiency, my communication skills and my wide-ranging knowledge in the areas of politics, society, intercultural communication and Europe.
Call me or send me a message anytime. I'll be in touch with hands-on and individual advice on how I can help you make your communications stand out or send you an obligation-free quote.
